    i found my old command and conquer red alert 2 and i installed it and it worked fine until i start to begin a battle after i select begin battle it loads all the way n at the very end just turns its self off BUT...the tab for it at the bottom of the screen is still there ive tried clicking it alot a times but nothin worked so i pressed Ctrl + Alt + Del and the task manager popped up. i pressed end task and this message appeared 'Main executable for Yuri's Revenge is not responding' thts the name of the game btw please help thank you wot u mean what os???

    Apparently, the virus corrupted my EXE files and they are now APPLICATION files. Needless to say, I cannot "run" any downloaded virus, spyware. malware files. I can access REGEDIT.exe and I can see that the "default value data" is application. Can I manually change this? What I mean is that "any" executable files (exe files), are now application files. The will not run. I can only save them. Whooo Hooo! I did it! I went onto Windows "Live Scan" and it fixed everything!     On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being very hard, how difficult would one assume it to be to reverse engineer an executable file that encrypts data with RSA encryption to re-write as a FORTRAN program. I do know FORTRAN quite well. I have very minimal experience with most other languages however.

    I have to write a C++ program that will input a year then finds and reports the date of Easter. Each function has to be placed in a separate file and compiled individually. After each compiles correctly, I will have to link them together to create the executable program. Now I dont know how to link the easter.cpp function which is in a different file with the main.cpp file.

    The executable im using is s-tools and i need it to be called and run in the background so that the user isnt aware it is using s-tools. at the moment, s-tools appears in the taskbar of windows and the user has to manually click it to open it, but i do not want them to see s-tools running at all.

    Ok, so i'm new to Linux. I'm trying to download java runtime, and i'm following the Linux install directions, and i've tried a few other places that post help forums for Linux, but none of them have helped so far. Here is my problem. I go to a directory using the cd /.../... and then i try to type in the code to make the file executable, but it keeps saying the file i try to open is not found, even when i type in /.etc. it still says the file is not found, Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong!? Ok, i went to slocate and tried to download it, it takes me to a folder called slocate. I open it and open a doc file called make file. I follow the instructions for install, and it says... ***src: No such file or directory. Stop. Kinda rude huh ;-) I don't have Yast2 or Synaptic...

    When I compile the code it doesn't create an executable file. Can someone who has done this before please answer. In the Debug folder if I choose the top file with a window icon, I get a quick flash of the program but it lasts less than a second.

    Here is the problem: PCGuard security claims to have found the virus W32/Trojan.AZWK in 6 files. It has quarantined them (presumably because it cannot disinfect them). I use Firefox for my browser but need IE occasionally; in the last couple of weeks get a msg that the IE executable file has changed; if it's been upgraded, OK, otherwise block as might be a virus. I am unaware of having upgraded it so have blocked it and can't use IE. I wonder if these the quarantined viruses and the issue with IE are linked? The infected files are: MSDDUTE32.EXE; MSUDT32.EXE; MWSEPUT32.EXE; SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION\_RESTORE{B37680B2-BA0A-4E5D-BF30-83E44C588624}\RP100\A0017015.EXE;SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION\_RESTORE{B37680B2-BA0A-4E5D-BF30-83E44C588624}\RP100\A0017016.EXE; SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION\_RESTORE{B37680B2-BA0A-4E5D-BF30-83E44C588624}\RP100\A0017017.EXE Should I delete these files, and if not how can I 'cleanse' them? And what should I do about IE possibly being infected? Thank you.

    I am using the WZZIP executable to zip certain files everyday. However, each file changes everyday and instead of zipping all the files, I only want to zip the most current, up to date file and ignore the older ones. I tried using the following command, but it does not appear to work: WIZZIP -t[f|d] [Current Date] filename.zip I believe my problem has something to do with the format of the current date, but am very unsure.

    I know the normal way how to create a bootdiskette(startupdisk),but since my computer's down and asking for a bootdiskette I can't.I've tried downloading executable files which allow you to create bootdiskettes from http://www.allbootdisks.com/ ,but I'm using my local library's computer that doesn't allow me to run executable files at all.So here's what I'm asking (pretty please!): Can you download one of those executable files to your PC and create a bootdiskette than e-mail me the boot files as an attachment?

    I am using Comodo Firewall Pro and my defense has blocked an executable called transmit.exe. Previously this has also occured causing me to reformat my hard drive. Now, however, it is being blocked constantly. I cannot delete it however. It also doesn't show up when I search it. How do I fix it?     Somebody sent me an executable file somedays before i downloaded it and then deleted it manually from its original path. After somedays again i got an executable file , again i downloaded it.. (lol how stupid i m) and then scanned my computer and it was Quarantine. I scanned my computer after that with Superantispyware and Norton antiviruse after updating. And also with an online scanner . but found nothing execpt some tracking cookies which some friends here told me that there is nothing to worry about them. Anyway i have deleted them too.. now i want to know Is my computer is safe or and wot to do next? Plz help. Also , that executable file was SC. keylogger that my antiviruse detected. And whenever i try to delete it from threat histories of norton antivirus it says Symantec Antivirus cannot perform this action on 1 of the files you selected Possible causes: The file havebeen removed or deleted.     i started getting loads of popups.i never had any antivirus or firewall etc. even the windows firewal was disabled.so the virus grew easily. i got fed up and formated my pc(even repartitioned) first thing i did was to get bitdefender,updated and then scanned. the result showed infection with autorun.ini and file named ravmon.the antivirus deleated one file and for other it said "disinfection failed". after that when i went to my computer and double click c drive, it said : ""windows cannot find ravmone.exe. this program is needed for opening files of type "file" type in executable file to be used instead"" when i right click on the c drive, instead of OPEN,EXPLORE it says other strange options. Other sypmtoms also started showing as before for ex: when i reboot,the screen with windows logo comes faded and the clears a bit and more and THEN the green bar starts to move. I cant install adobe CS .it says i need to have win xp sp2.iAM having but i dunno why it says so

    i have a bunch of questions. firstly i am new to linux and i have kubuntu. i cant see videos in my web browser. i tried to download flash player but the instructions make no sense to me. in the adept installer, it says i have firefox installed, but when i find it in the directly, i dont know how to load the actual file. its not an *.exe file obviously so i dont know what to click or how to open an executable file unless its already in my K Menu.
