I'm doing and MBA in London, and it will finnish this september. However, the timetable is quite intense and I don't have time to find a part time job. I own 4000GBP (tuition fees) to the uni and they are sending me letters about my debt. My family in my country cannot help me, and my dad had a surgery. I can't get acces to loans because I'm an oversee student. The uni letter says that they might suspend my acces to library/intranet/access etc. and send my case to the court. Also, it says, they cannot wait until I get a job to make the payment. Unis can do that? I would like to know if in the UK can I get legal advice, loan, or if someone has been in this situation, and how overcome it. All advices and suggestions are more than welcome. I'm feeling deppresed and it is interfering with my studies. Thanks

You are a working for a company that is composed of three departments: general support, marketing, and sales. What do I have to do in order for my wireless connected laptop usinging only a wirelss adpter to connect to a wired desk top for printinig and file sharing? Here's my scenario I have a full fledged windows network The network consists of two Windows 2000 Servers, one functioning as a domain controller, the other as the Intranet/application server The clients on the other hand, run Windows XP Professional, which they have VM's underneath that run Win 2000 and Win Vista (for legacy apps, and vista testing) The clients at the moment arent the issue it's the servers. My servers everyday are seeming more and more out of date. I love windows 2000 server and how streamlined it is, but I'm going to have to let it go eventually especially after support ends I don't feel like migrating to Windows server 2003 nor the newer 2008...yes, the newer versions are nicer and all, but pricing is a problem at the moment--I want linux as a server platform for me. I want a FREE linux distro,one that can handle ease transition from windows, and that can handle my domain controller and file serving needs Anyone have a distro in mind that follows my needs?

I am on an office network and IE runs without incident, but firefox, on the same computer and direct connection to the Internet, times out whenever I leave the company intranet. It work great on the intranet without problems and is fast. I uninstalled then reinstaleld firefox and that has nto solved the problem. Every one else int he office has no problems with firefocx, so I assume it is my computer or settings. Any ideas why this would be? Cheers Countdwn

My office laptop has Microsoft Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 2. While accessing some "Intranet" secure websites on the LAN, where you are required to re-enter your company username & password, the username window has a drop down list which also displays my hotmail username which I think the syatem picks up from the Windows Live Messenger which is part of XP and from which I log-on occasionally from my office computer. It was really immature of me, but if someone turns away from their computer, someone will put a silly/rude picture as your background. It's a joke the class plays. I've had it done to me before, and I was introuble for not keeping an eye on my computer (just because I had gone to collect some work from the printer). Yesterday, however, I did it to someone else, and the supply teacher wrote a letter to my tutor who forwarded it to the head of my course. I just checked the intranet and my account has been banned (how am I meant to do work?) I know it's my fault, but I would like to point out all the other stuff going on, and that it is unfair that I'm the only person having action taken against. Thing is, teachers don't listen to students, unless their parents ring up. This is what is frustrating me.

I am able to set up a simple website using IIS but I dont want to type http://localhost:80 or the computername but want to have a domain name like for example (abc.yourdomain.com). I dont want to buy a domain name as this is just an intranet site for my personal use. I tried using the host header value but am not able to browse the site if I enter any value into the same.

I want to install software in my media production company, that woudl allow employees to log all problems and solutions as well as search through old solutions. This would include common software glitches and work arounds as well as hardware usage procedures. Basically, this would be the first place employees look when they encounter a problem. The system would be intranet based. The machines are mostly mac based with a few pcs (XP pro), running software such as final cut, premiere, nuendo, protools. Hardware would include audio and video I/O, storage (usb2, fw, fibre). All have internet access. The basic purpose of this software would be to create records of problems so that they dont have to call up the 'IT' department when similar problems recur.

I have been reading Forex Materials enthusiastically to become a disciplined trader within a year time or two, but came to learn that it is a biased market where you may well be in for fighting a losing battle against the brokers who will allways have the upper hand and who know how to get the best of the traders. I'm creating the hyperlink in a web page on an intranet and the file path to the document is good. The result I'm getting with my existing link is opening a new browser frame with the file path in the address bar. The browser pane is blank except for a small box with a red x in the upper left corner. Clicking on "Go" then proceeds to open the Word document. If I double click the address in the address bar, it expands the file path. I need the Word Document to open when the hyperlink is clicked. My proceedure in Frontpage so far has been: Insert / hyperlink / Existing File or Web Page / (I select my document) / "ok" Any assistance is appreciated.

I have an intranet that uses MS Sharepoint Services 2003. This has a lot of information that I would like to be made viewable to my mobile users. So, I had my last period on Dec 13, 2007. Than I had a three semi light period Jan 2-5. I started getting this awful heartburn about three days ago along with cramping even after I bleed for those three days. What is this? I feel like I am going to start my period but I already had bleed. I have heartburn, nausea, cramping and my nipples are tender to the touch. I took a preg test a few days ago and was negative. Should I test again? I have normal periods and have regular intercourse with my husband often. I feel different, but don't know if I could be pregnant? Does this sound normal or am I crazy? I tried to look it up on the intranet to see if its normal to feel like going to start your period after you had your period but I can't find any anwsers and pepto-bismo is not working!< >
